Last updated: May 11, 2026. These terms apply to the Escape Room Builder web application and related services (“Service”) operated by the project owner (“we”, “us”).
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account.
You must provide accurate registration information. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse limits, security, or these terms.
The Service may generate themes, puzzles, staging ideas, and export materials for planning escape-room-style experiences. Output is informational and draft-quality. You are solely responsible for how you use it: safety, venue rules, accessibility, intellectual property in your final room, insurance, and compliance with local law.
Software, branding, and curated content. The Service’s source code, UI design, logos, curated theme library structure, default copy, and other materials we provide (excluding content you upload) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service through a normal browser or client we provide—not to scrape, resell, or reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law forbids that restriction.
You retain rights to text and data you submit (for example room notes and custom theme descriptions). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you (including backups and security monitoring consistent with reasonable industry practice).
Subject to third-party rights in any references or links we attach, you may use exports and plans you generate for your own events and venues, including commercial escape rooms you operate, provided you comply with these terms and any separate billing or catalog rules shown in the product. You may not misrepresent the Service as the author of your final guest-facing experience where that would be false, and you may not use the Service to build a competing hosted clone of our product.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or generated materials.
We may update these terms by posting a revised version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms where permitted by law.
